I took on 1 of the wilder outings on here. I didn’t realize it was banned till after being dropped off. No hikers or police present. Afterward I openly chatted with a resident while waiting for ride, he didn’t mind at all.

Going back to Oahu for the first time in 10 years. Now with a 9 and 7 year old. We love to hike. Kids are pretty adventurous but obviously we and to keep them safe. I was thinking Pillbox with them, and Koko Crater (revisit!) with hubby. Suggestions on best kid hikes?

I appreciate that people have commented that the Tom Tom hike was illegal, becaue you failed to mention this in your blog. I am not trying to get into trouble on my vacation becasue you blogged about it being a good idea. You should maybe update this blog with that information so everyone can make an informed decion for themselves.
